What to wear when
having a massage
Category Uncategorized

This is one of the most common questions we get over the phone and at the beginning of a massage, so we would like to explain what is recommended and what is expected from a therapist’s point of view.

For some clients, wearing a robe or loose clothing that is easy to take off is ideal. As therapists, we prefer clients to wear a robe, as it makes the preparation process easier and saves time while you get ready on the massage table. However, we understand that some people may be busy and still be wearing casual clothing when we arrive, and that is completely fine too.

Occasionally, some of our therapists have arrived at a client’s door and found the client wearing only underwear. While we understand that you may be wearing only underwear during the massage, answering the door this way can feel uncomfortable or intimidating for the therapist. This is why we are very careful with professional draping and why we step out of the room while you get onto the massage table. Your privacy and comfort always come first. For this reason, we ask that you keep your underwear on at all times during the treatment.

For women, we generally suggest not wearing a bra during the massage so the therapist can work properly on your back. However, if you feel more comfortable keeping your bra on, that is perfectly okay. We only ask that it can be unclipped at the back if needed.

So now you know what to wear: a robe, underwear, and a relaxed mindset. Get ready to enjoy and unwind with a fantastic massage.
