Let’s begin with some conditions that are sometimes a problem but NOT a contraindication. Open wounds, sun burn, varicose veins, eczema (some skin conditions). All the conditions just mentioned can be avoided when having a massage. For example; if you had a beautiful holiday in QLD and you have sun burn around the neck we can still massage the rest of the body but just avoiding that area. The same would happen with with any burns around the rest of the body.

Massage Must NO go ahead with the fallowing Conditions:

Deep vein thrombosis: has been demostrated that massage pressure can push a blood clot easily.

Fever: if you have fever is probably because you have an infection in you body. This could be because a common cold or maybe the flu Massage can spread viruses and bacteria rapidly worsening the condition.

Some type of cancer: in this case we prefer you to have someone that knows or have knowledge about oncology massage. At the moment we don’t have this option available.

Contagious disease: please be considered at the time of making a booking and don’t put our therapist under a difficult situation. If you suffer from any condition that can be spread please don’t go ahead with the booking.

Liver or kidneys conditions: please talk to your health practitioner wether massage is an option for you, in the case of liver and kidney failure, massage cannot go ahead. Massage increases circulation and moves toxins that can go to these organs and cause more damage.

Uncontrolled hypertension: when you are under a medication for this condition you have nothing to worry about, but if not massage is not an option for you. Massage increases blood flow into the heart and can make you feel unwell.

Pregnancy before 12 weeks: massage in an early stage can be dangerous for bub and mum. After the 1st trimester is safer. However, we strongly recommend booking with someone trained with pregnancy massage.
